Born from
Tragedy.
Driven by Purpose.

Founded in 2017 by local waterman Mitch Capelli following the tragic death of teenager Laeticia Brouwer, Esperance Ocean Safety & Support is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to protecting ocean users from Great White Sharks through education, training, experience, technology and research.

Esperance has been, and continues to be, the site of many Great White Shark sightings, encounters and tragically, deaths. It is our goal to minimise these attacks and prioritise human life.
